West Africa's Next Top Model is an upcoming reality documentary based on Tyra Banks America's Next Top Model that pits contestants from all West African countries including Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Liberia and Nigeria against each other in a variety of competitions to determine who will win title of West Africa's Next Top Model and a lucrative modelling contract with an international model agency in hopes of a successful future in the modeling business.
The competition will be hosted by Nigerian supermodel Oluchi Onweagba who will serve as the lead judge with several industry experts serving as guest judges. Produced by StatsMedia Group the first Cycle will feature 16 contestants and is expected to air until June 2009 on several nationwide networks.[1][2]. Auditions began in March.
