William Henry Beatty (December 10, 1833 - November 20, 1912), was a Canadian lawyer and businessman.

William Henry Beatty was the eldest son of an Irish-Canadian family which included two brothers and five sisters. He was educated at Upper Canada College from 1842–45. Subsequently he studied law, articled with an important firm and attended lectures at Osgoode Hall. He was admitted to the Bar in 1863 and entered into partnership with Edward Marion Chadwick from an important Irish family and his future brother-in-law.

Beatty was married in 1865 to a daughter of James Gooderham Worts. This ensured the success of the law form since it eventually brought large clients such as the Bank of Toronto.

Beatty made the firm, in one estimate, “the largest legal business in Canada.”
