William Miller, born in 1996, is an British child actor who rose to fame when he was chosen the part of Oliver Twist in the BBC One Christmas adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic broadcast in December 2007. He beat 700 other boys to land the role.

Miller made his debut on television in the historical drama Krakatoa - The Last Days in 2006, which was directed by his father, Sam Miller. The drama documentary depicts the eruption of Krakatoa volcano which killed more than 36,000 people in 1883. His mother Janine Wood is an actress.

Miller says he might choose football over acting as a career. He played for Leyton Orient's under-12 team but was recently scouted by Tottenham Hotspur.[1] In an interview William said: "It's a toss-up between being an actor and a footballer."

Miller later starred as the lead character Sean in the 2009 British children's miniseries Runaway, broadcast on BBC One, which was part of the CBBC season about homelessness.[2][3]
