From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A picture of the xload.

xload is a graphical computer program in Unix which opens up a small window which begins to display a periodic update of a histogram of the average system load. By default it updates every 10 seconds, but that can be changed.

More options

A picture of xload running from the GNOME terminal, with the command xload -hl blue -update 1 &, turning the scale line blue and making xload update every 1 second.

To change the colour of the scale lines, the options -hl or -highligh (which can be used interchangeably) should be used, followed by the wanted colour. The command:

xload -hl blue

will for example turn the scale line blue and the command:

xload -highlight pink

will make the scale line pink.
