Yusuf Mohamed (born November 5, 1983) is a Nigerian football defender currently playing for FC Sion.

Career

The defender won the African Champions league title with Enyimba in 2003 and 2004 before moving to Sudanese giants Al-Hilal.

On 23 January 2009 has completed a move to Swiss side FC Sion from Sudanese club Al-Hilal. Mohammed has undergone a medical and agreed personal terms on a three-and-a-half year deal in time to beat the transfer deadline [1]. .

The 24-year-old follows in the footsteps of compatriot Obinna Nwaneri, who also joins Sion two summers ago after breaking into the Super Eagles squad.

Mohammed, who has five caps for his country, has previously passed a trial with French side Paris Saint-Germain F.C., but opted to fulfil a pre-contract agreement with the Switzerland club instead. His main position is right-back.
