From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a list of fictional mobile units from the Japanese science fiction franchise Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. Mobile units are mobile suits and mobile armors. Mobile suits and mobile armors are fictional mecha.

The codes after the name specify in which series or manga that mobile suit actually appeared in:

"Gundam" is never used in the series to officially identify any mobile suit; it is an acronym for variations of the various Mobile Operating Systems used to run mobile suits and mobile armors. Kira Yamato and Cagalli Yula Athha use it as a nickname to refer to these mobile suits, and some of Kira's friends follow his example. The word "Gundam" is used in marketing copy and model kit/toy packaging to designate the "hero" mobile suits, as opposed to the normal "grunt" mobile suits.

The entries are listed under the faction that produced it.

Clyne Faction/Three Ships Alliance

  • ZGMF-XX09T DOM Trooper [GSD] - ZAFT prototype series, never saw mass production. At least three ZGMF-XX09T DOM Trooper Original Spec Type's were built by ZAFT (possibly nine or more given the unit numbering on the shoulder), and three units are stolen by Clyne faction and taken to the asteroid factory where they were completed and modified with enhanced equipment and armament. Assigned to the Eternal and piloted by Hilda Harken (team leader, pilot of unit 003), Herbert Von Reinhardt (pilot of unit 004), and Mars Simeon (pilot of unit 009). Unit 003 is damaged at the end of the Second Bloody Valentine War.

Earth Alliance

Earth Alliance mobile suits have the designation "GAT" (Gressorial Armament Tactical). Experimental units in the series include the modifier of "X" before the unit designation number (example: GAT-X105 Strike). The word "Gressorial" means "adapted for walking". Mobile armors have the designation "TS-MA" (Theater Suppression - Mobile Armor). The meaning of the designation "RGX" is not yet known, but it is used exclusively by Blue Cosmos/Logos-affiliated units to refer to mobile suits that were stolen from ZAFT. These units are:

  • ZGMF-X12A Testament' (RGX-00)
  • ZGMF-X24S Chaos (RGX-01)
  • ZGMF-X31S Abyss (RGX-02)
  • ZGMF-X88S Gaia (RGX-03)
  • ZGMF-YX21R Proto-Saviour (RGX-04)

Earth Alliance's standard mobile suit operating system is designated "General Unilateral Neuro-Link Dispersive Autonomic Maneuver" (or "GUNDAM"). The GFAS-X1 Destroy uses an OS designated "Gigantic Unilateral Numerous Dominating Ammunition" Fortress.

The GAT-X131 Calamity, GAT-X252 Forbidden, and GAT-X370 Raider, along with their variants are equipped with a type of Phase Shift Armor called Trans-Phase Armor (TP). TP armor varies from PS armor in that it activates only at the point and time of impact, because of this it uses less energy than PS armor, that energy can be used for heavy energy weapons.

The Alliance's "Gundam" type mobile suits' model numbers have meaning to their designed purpose and are as follows:

  • X100s - General Purpose. As the name suggests, these are intended for any purpose, from close combat to long range. The multi role X105 Strike is the only exception. Examples: GAT-X102 Duel, GAT-X105 Strike.
  • X200s - Specific Purpose, Frame, or Special Equipment. These are intended for a specific purpose, and usually equipped with some form of special technology. Examples: GAT-X207 Blitz, GAT-X252 Forbidden.
  • X300s - Transformable. These are designed to transformed from its MS mode to a Mobile Armor (MA) mode of any kind. Examples: GAT-X303 Aegis, GAT-X370 Raider.

  • GAT-X102 Duel [GS] - General-purpose mobile suit, the first of the GAT-X series. Stolen by ZAFT. Gets upgraded with body armor, called the "Assault Shroud", after being cut down in its third battle with the Strike. The Assault Shroud was destroyed by the Forbidden, but the unharmed Duel went on to destroy the Forbidden. Soon after Duel also destroyed the Raider with Buster's Gun Launcher. Piloted by Yzak Joule.
    • GAT-X1022 Blu Duel [GS73] - A new design by Aktaeon Industries, based on the design of the GAT-X102 Duel Assault Shroud. The unit is armed with the standard pair of head-mounted CIWS as well as a shield, a retractable beam rifle, a pair of beam sabres, three Anti-Armor Penetrators and a railgun. Unlike the original Duel, who's additional 'Assault Shroud' armor was not equipped with Phase Shift Armor, all of the Blu Duel's armor is equipped with Phase Shift. Assigned to the same squad as the GAT-X103AP Verde Buster and GAT-X105E Strike Noir. Destroyed in battle with several TMF/A-802W2 Kerberos BuCUE Hound. Piloted by Mudie Holcroft.
  • GAT-X103 Buster [GS] - Long-range artillery MS, equipped with Gun Launcher and High-Energy Beam Rifle that can be combined together to form either Hyper Impulse Long-Range Beam Sniper Rifle or Anti-Armor Shotgun. Stolen by ZAFT, later recovered by the Archangel crew. Providence Gundam leaves Buster nearly destroyed. Piloted by Dearka Elsman.
    • GAT-X103AP Verde Buster [GS73] - A new design by Aktaeon Industries, based on the design of the GAT-X103 Buster. The unit has all the same armament as the original Buster (two shoulder-mounted 6-tube 220mm missile launchers, a 350mm gun-launcher, and a 94mm high-energy beam cannon), only the previously hip-mounted gun-launcher and high-energy beam cannon have been moved to the shoulders. The hips now each mount an M9009B composite bayonet-equipped beam rifle, which can combine side-by-side to form a single beam cannon. Assigned to the same squad as the GAT-X102 Blu Duel and GAT-X105E Strike Noir. It is destroyed after running out of power while fighting a group of DSSD Custom Civilian Astrays. Piloted by Shams Coza.
  • GAT-X105 Strike [GS]
    • GAT-X105+AQM/E-X01 Aile Strike [GS]
    • GAT-X105+AQM/E-X02 Sword Strike [GS]
    • GAT-X105+AQM/E-X03 Launcher Strike [GS]
    • GAT-X105+AQM/E-X04 Gunbarrel Strike [GSA]
    • GAT-X105+P202QX Strike IWSP [GSA]
    • GAT-X105+P204QX Lightning Strike [GSA]
    • GAT-X105E Strike E [GSFA]
      • GAT-X105E+AQM/E-X09S Strike Noir [GS73]
  • GAT-X131 Calamity [GS] - Artillery prototype MS, carries a heavy weapon loadout, with 2 beam cannons on the shoulders, 2 on the shield, and a high energy beam cannon in the chest, as well as a powerful plasma sabot bazooka. Calamity is destroyed by Justice equipped with its METEOR. Its "living CPU" pilot is Orga Sabnak.
    • GAT-X133 Sword Calamity [GSA] - Close combat version of Calamity, mounts two anti-ship swords instead of the backpack cannons, its shoulders have additional thrusters and mount two beam boomberangs, and it has two rocket anchors. It retains its chest mounted beam cannon, but it is 30% weaker than that of Calamity. Three units were built, piloted by famed aces Edward "Ed the Ripper" Harrelson and Rena "Sakura Burst" Imelia, and "Combat Coordinator" Four Socius.
  • GAT-X207 Blitz [GS] - Uses the Mirage Colloid for stealth capabilities. Armed with a "Trikeros" shield, which mounts a beam rifle, beam saber, and three "lancer dart" kinetic energy penetrators. Stolen by ZAFT, later destroyed by the GAT-X105 Strike. Piloted by Nicol Amalfi.
    • GAT-X207SR Nero Blitz [GSΔA] - A new design by Aktaeon Industries, based on the design of the GAT-X207 Blitz. The "SR" stands for "Stealth Reinforcement". Equipped with a large grappling arm on back which can smash even Phase Shift armor.
  • GAT-X252 Forbidden [GS] - Close-combat prototype MS, carries a powerful scythe and two movable shields which utilize "Geshmedig Panzer" beam deflection system uses Mirage Colloid to deflect incoming beams. It is also heavily armed, with two CIWS, two machine cannons, two rail guns and a plasma induction cannon which it uses at all ranges with a controllable arcing beam; Destroyed by the GAT-X102 Duel. Piloted by Shani Andras.
    • GAT-X255 Forbidden Blue [GSA/GSV/GSD] - Underwater combat prototype derived from the Forbidden. Armed with a phonon maser cannon and supercativating torpedoes. At least three units were built, one piloted by "White Whale" Jane Houston. These units rely on Geshmedig Panzer beam deflection system to keep the Gundam intact; however it the power were cut off the unit would implode under the immense pressure. This problem is corrected in the official mass production units GAT-706S Deep Forbidden and GAT-707E Forbidden Vortex.
  • GAT-X303 Aegis [GS] - A transformable MS-MA hybrid, can transform into mobile armor mode. It is equipped with a devastating "Scylla" beam cannon, along with a hand-carried beam rifle and four beam sabers built into its limbs. Stolen by ZAFT and later self-destructed to destroy the Strike. Piloted by Athrun Zala.
    • GAT-X303AA Rosso Aegis [GSΔA] - A new design by Aktaeon Industries, based on the design of the GAT-X303 Aegis. The "AA" stands for "Advanced Acceleration". Unlike the Aegis, it can fire the "Scylla" cannon in mobile suit mode, and is capable of atmospheric flight in both MS and MA mode.
  • GAT-X370 Raider [GS] - A transformable MS-MA hybrid, can transform into a high-speed fighter. It carries considerable weaponry, and can act as a subflight unit for the heavy, groundbound Calamity. Destroyed by Duel Gundam (later retconed to being destroyed by the Buster Gundam). Piloted by Clotho Buer.

Production units

  • Mistral (MAW-01) [GS] - Several units are stored in the Archangel's hangar.
  • GAT-01 Strike Dagger [GS]
    • GAT-01A1 105 Dagger [GSV/GSA/GSD] - The "true" mass-production version of the Strike, capable of mounting the Striker Packs.
    • GAT-01A2R Slaughter Dagger [GSΔA/HS73] - Updated version of the 105 Dagger, in use by Phantom Pain.
  • GAT/A-01E2 Buster Dagger [GSV/GSA] - the mass-produced version of the X103 Buster, though very rare. The only known Buster Dagger was piloted by "Sakura Burst", aka Rena Imelia.
  • GAT-01D Long Dagger and GAT-01D1 Duel Dagger [GSV/GSA] - both designs can be considered the Dagger form of the X102 Duel. Long Dagger is designed for Coordinators, such as Jean Carry or "Combat Coordinators" Eleven Socius and Seven Socius. Duel Dagger is a Natural-use variant, and was piloted, among others by famed EA aces Edward Harrelson and Rena Imelia.
  • GAT-02L2 Dagger L [GSD] - produced following the First Bloody Valentine War, the successor to the GAT-01A1 105 Dagger.
  • GAT-04 Windam [GSD] - mass-produced, enters service in late CE 73 and early CE 74 to replace the Dagger-L
  • GAT-333 Raider Full Spec [GSV/GSA] - the original project of the Raider, mass-produced. One Raider Full Spec is known to have been piloted by EA ace Edward Harrelson, aka Ed the Ripper.
  • GAT-706S Deep Forbidden [GSV/GSA] - the mass-production version of the Forbidden Blue; some weapons have been removed, and has a strengthened pressure hull instead of relying on Trans-Phase armour and "Geshmedig Panzer" to resist water pressure
  • GAT-707E Forbidden Vortex [GSD] - limited-production variant of the Forbidden Blue prototype, with the pressure-shielding of the Deep Forbidden. Otherwise, it is identical.
  • GAT-SO2R N Dagger N [GSDV/GSDA] - a special-operations mobile suit derived from the GAT-X207 Blitz and built on the frame of the GAT-01A1 105 Dagger; equipped with the N-Jammer Canceler, nuclear engine, and a Mirage Colloid stealth system
  • GAT-X399/Q Wild Dagger [GSDV] - a limited production version ground mobile suit that is derived from the captured ZGMF-X88S Gaia and the GAT-02L2 Dagger L; can transform into a similar quadruped mode like the Gaia; there were 72 Wild Daggers produced for counter-insurgency units

Mobile armors

  • GFAS-X1 Destroy [GSD] - (GFAS is short for Gressorial Fortress Armament Strategic). A giant, heavily armed transformable mobile armor, armed with numerous beam cannons and missile launchers, and protected by postitron reflector shields. Destroy's power is such that it is considered a strategic, rather than tactical, weapon. A total of at least nine Destroy units are built. One is piloted by Extended pilot Stella Loussier, and is destroyed by Kira Yamato's ZGMF-X10A Freedom in battle over Berlin. Another is piloted by Sting Oakley, and is destroyed by Shinn Asuka's ZGMF-X42S Destiny in the battle over Heaven's Base. The other Destroy units were also destroyed during the battles at Heaven's Base and the Daedalus moon base. Both its design and initial appearance in the anime are highly reminiscent of the Universal Century MRX-009 Psyco Gundam. Its mobile armor form, however is an obvious homage to the MA-08 Big Zam.
  • TS-MB1B Euclid [GSD] - Mass-produced flight-capable mobile armor. Armed with two beam cannons and two Gatling guns. Fielded in defense of Heaven's Base. Capable of both Earth and Space combat.
  • YMAG-X7F Gells-Ghe [GSD] - Base-defense mobile armor with many similarities to the YMAF-X6BD Zamza-Zah mobile armor, but ground-based. It needs three pilots to operate it and also has a positron reflector. The lower body is spider-like, and the upper body is a heavily modified Dagger torso. One unit was defeated by ZGMF-X23S Saviour.
  • TS-MA2 Moebius [GS] - The standard space-based fighter of the Earth Alliance during the first Bloody Valentine War. Its standard armament is four missiles and two 40mm autocannons, with an optional position for a linear gun, beam cannon or a single nuclear missile in place of the four standard missiles. It was used to destroy Junius 7 in the infamous "Bloody Valentine Incident", but became obsolete early in the First Bloody Valentine War and was heavily outclassed by ZAFT mobile suits. It was used until June CE 71, when it was replaced by the Strike Dagger.
  • TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero [GS] - The prototype of the Moebius mobile armors used by the Earth Alliance, featuring a linear gun and four gunbarrels which could be detached from the body of the unit and guided by cables. Although the additional gunbarrels allowed the pilot of the Moebius Zero to overwhelm opponents with a simultaneous multi-directional attack, they proved to be too difficult for most pilots to handle, and the design was pared down for the production model. Only a limited number of units using the prototype design saw action, piloted by an elite squadron of Earth Alliance lieutenants. Of these, the only one to survive combat was Mu La Flaga, who brought the last Moebius Zero unit with him to what would become the Three Ships Alliance when he joined the crew of the Archangel. It was retired after the Archangel landed on Earth, as Mu switched to a FX-550 Skygrasper, due to Moebius Zero's wire-guided gunbarrels being unable to operate in Earth's atmosphere. It would also spawn a Striker pack variant known as the AQM/E-X04 Gunbarrel Striker a unit which also functioned as a Striker pack for the GAT-01A1 Dagger and GAT-X105 Strike.
  • TS-MA4F Exus [GSD] - Neo Roanoke's mobile armor, similar in concept and appearance to the TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero. Armed with 2 railguns, a missile launcher, and 4 wire-guided gunbarrels drones, which each mount two beam guns and two beam sabers. For a fighter, the TS-MA4F proved to be much more effective against ZAFT mobile suits than the TS.MA-2 series.
  • TSX-MA717/ZD Pergrande [GSA] - Prototype mobile armor, nuclear-powered and N-Jammer equipped. Features a multi-vector attack system called DRAGOON.
  • YMAF-X6BD Zamza-Zah [GSD] - Flight-capable mobile armor, has a giant body of vaguely crab-like shape. Three pilots are needed to operate it (one for the main section, one for the claws, and one gunner). It is equipped with combat claws and particle beam cannons in the limbs, and a positron reflector in the head capable of deflecting positron beams. Destroyed by ZGMF-X56S Impulse.

Eurasian Federation

While also in the Earth Alliance, the Eurasian Federation has their own mobile suits, the Composition Armament Tactical mobile suits. They are based on Acteton Industry's Gel-Finito.

Production units

  • CAT1-XG Hyperion G [GSFA] - Mass production land-use version of the Hyperion Gundam. There are 12 units in total. Unit 2 is customized for Gai Murakumo.

Republic of East Asia

  • GAT-FJ108 Raigo [GSFA]
    • GAT-FJ108 Speculum Raigo [GSFA]
    • GAT-FJ108 Caliburn Raigo [GSFA]
    • GAT-FJ108 Sumbullet Raigo [GSFA]

ZAFT mobile suits have the following designations and meanings:

  • ZGM (Zero-Gravity Maneuver)
  • ZGMF (Zero-Gravity Maneuver Fighter)
  • ZGMF-X (Zero-Gravity Maneuver Fighter-Experimental)
  • ZGMT (Zero-Gravity Maneuver Trainer)
  • AMF (Aerial Maneuver Fighter)
  • AMA (Aerial Maneuver Attacker)
  • TFA (Terrestrial Fighter Artillery)
  • TMF/A (Terrestrial Maneuver Fighter/Attacker)
  • UWMF/S (UnderWater Maneuver Fighter/Striker(?))
  • UMF (Underwater Maneuver Fighter)
  • YMF (Prototype Maneuver Fighter)
  • XMF (Experiment Maneuver Fighter)

When ZAFT builds three new mobile suits based on the stolen MS units GAT-X102 Duel, GAT-X103 Buster, GAT-X207 Blitz and 'GAT-X303 Aegis, they develop the ZGMF-X_A series and re-designate the operating system for those suits as "Generation Unsubdued Nuclear Drive Assault Module" Complex (or "GUNDAM" Complex).

After the Bloody Valentine War, the OS is updated to support the "Deuterion Beam Energy Supply System" that the newer ZAFT suits use, and the system the ZGMF-X_S series uses is re-designated as "Generation Unrestricted Network Drive Assault Module". Later in the war a third version of the OS, "Gunnery United Nuclear-Deutrion Advanced Maneuver" System, is used in the new ZGMF-X42S Destiny and ZGMF-X666S Legend.

ZAFT experimental units generally have their numerical designation prefaced with "X" followed by a two or three digit type code and a letter designating their stage of development: "A" for First Stage, "S" for Second Stage and "T" for Third stage suits. For Second Stage units, the two-digit series designators include a type number (first digit) and a series number (second digit), so the ZGMF-X56S Impulse is Type 5, Series 6. The only exceptions are the ZGMF-X19A ∞ Justice and ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom due to the fact that they aren't constructed by ZAFT and are "resurrections" of the earlier prototypes. The Type numbers' significance for X_S-series Second Stage units is as follows:

  • 1: None; only first generations were given this number, but their model numbers are in sequence
  • 2: Transforming Air/space-use units
  • 3: Underwater-use units
  • 4: General all-purpose-use units
  • 5: Silhouette system units
  • 6: DRAGOON system units
  • 7: Unknown
  • 8: Ground-use units

  • ZGMF-X31S (RGX-02) Abyss [GSD] - Equipped with powerful beam weapons, can transform into a mobile armor used for underwater combat. Stolen by EA. Destroyed by ZGMF-X56S/γ Blast Impulse. Piloted by Auel Neider, an Extended pilot.
  • YFX-200 CGUE DEEP Arms [GSV/GSA] - After four EA G-units were captured by ZAFT, some of their technology was incorporated into several heavily modified ZGMF-515 CGUE units into several new CGUE Directional Energy Emission Experimental Arms (DEEP Arms) mobile suits; armed with two heavy beam cannons and a physical beam sword. One was piloted by Shiho Hahnenfuss until the Second Battle of Jachin Due.
  • ZGMF-X24S (RGX-01) Chaos [GSD] - Specialized for assault in space, it transforms into a mobile armor used for space combat, its main arament is a pair of detachable remote weapon pods. Stolen by EA. Piloted by Sting Oakley, an Extended pilot. Destroyed by three Orb Union MVF-M11C Murasame mobile suits.
  • ZGMF-X42S Destiny [GSD] - ZAFT's newest and most advanced mobile suit. Equipped with a hyper-deuterion nuclear reactor, Wings of Light system, and armament based on all three Silhouettes of the ZGMF-X56S Impulse. Was heavily damaged by Athrun Zala and his ZGMF-X19A ∞ Justice. Piloted by Shinn Asuka.
  • ZGMF-X88S Gaia [GSD] - Capable of transforming into a 4-legged mobile armor used for terrestrial combat. Stolen by Earth Alliance, piloted by Stella Loussier. Later recovered by ZAFT. Later in the war, it was captured by Terminal and piloted by Andrew Waltfeld in its original colors.
  • YMF-01B Proto GINN [GSA] - Original GINN prototype mobile suit, later used for training.
  • ZGMF-X2000CQGB&S GOUF Crusher [GSDV] - A close combat variant of the ZGMF-X2000 GOUF Ignited design, the beam guns and beam sword have been removed, and replaced with a heavy hammer and vice claw. The design was dropped because it was less useful than the original GOUF design.
  • ZGMF-X2000 GOUF Ignited [GSD] - Derived from the ZAKU series, the GOUF (Guardian of Unity Forerunner) Ignited is armed with two tentacle-like heat rods inside its forearms, a double-edged beam sword, and two 4-barrel beam guns on its forearms. Piloted by Heine Westenfluss, is destroyed in its first battle on Earth by ZGMF-X88S Gaia.
  • YFX-600R GuAIZ Experimental Firearms Type [GSV/GS] - Some ZGMF-600 GuAIZ units were refitted to test several weapons that were used by ZGMF-X10A Freedom (railguns and beam rifle), and ZGMF-X09A Justice (subflight lifter and beam rifle). At least one unit was used in combat by ZAFT at Second Battle of Jachin Due, but current fate is unknown.
  • ZGMF-X56S Impulse [GSD] - Composed by the Core Splendor, the Chest Flyer and the Leg Flyer, can dock mid-air into a mobile suit form. It relies on battery power that can be remotely replenished by its mother ship. Its armament includes 2 chest-mounted CIWS, 1 high-energy beam rifle, 1 mobile shield, and 2 "Folding Razor" knives. The Impulse is piloted by Shinn Asuka, and later by Lunamaria Hawke when Shinn obtained ZGMF-X42S Destiny. Three more units would later be fielded by ZAFT and equipped with the Destiny Silhouette. Unlike the unit aboard the Minerva, these Impulse units did not feature Variable Phase Shift Armor. Like the earlier Strike, the Impulse can be equipped with additional packs called "Silhouettes."
    • ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse [GSD] - High mobility configuration, analogous to the Aile Strike, but capable of atmospheric flight.
    • ZGMF-X56S/β Sword Impulse [GSD] - Analogous to the Sword Strike, and similar to the GAT-X133 Sword Calamity; equipped with anti-warship swords and beam boomerangs. Besides being equipped with the standard armament of the ZGMF-X56S Impulse (chest-mounted CIWS guns, anti-armor knifes, mobile shield, beam rifle), the Sword Impulse uses the β Sword Silhouette pack, which grants the suit access to two large anti-ship swords and two beam boomerangs. The Sword Silhouette mounts two large MMI-710 "Excalibur" anti-ship swords, which are similar to the sword used on the GAT-X133 Sword Calamity. As the name implies, these swords are mainly used to attack ships in space and naval ships on Earth, although they can also be used against mobile suits and even used as a throwing weapon. The swords can also can also combine to create a large dual-bladed ambidextrous form.Similar to the old ZGMF-X09A Justice, the Sword Silhouette also mounts two RQM60 "Flash-Edge" beam boomerangs for added ranged combat.
    • ZGMF-X56S/γ Blast Impulse [GSD] - Analogous to the Launcher Strike, and similar to the ZGMF-X10A Freedom; equipped with beam cannons, railguns, and beam javelins.Besides being equipped with the standard armament of the ZGMF-X56S Impulse (chest-mounted CIWS guns, anti-armor knifes, mobile shield, beam rifle), the Blast Impulse uses the γ Blast Silhouette pack, which grants the suit access to two powerful long range beam cannons, two rail cannons, two missile launchers and two beam javelins. Inside Earth's gravity, the Blast Silhouette prevents the Impulse from flying, although it can hover over water. The most powerful weapon of the Blast Silhouette are its two large M2000F "Kerberos" high-energy long-range beam cannons. These cannons grant the suit heavy firepower over long distances. When in use, the cannons swoop underneath the arms of the Impulse, who then holds them in his arms when firing. Additionally, two MMI-M16XE2 "Deluge" hyper-velocity rail cannons are mounted on the pack, which, when deployed, are mounted over the shoulders.Besides its cannons, the Blast Silhouette also mounts two GMF39 quadruple missile launchers. These launchers are mounted on top of the beam cannons and, when used, are mounted over the shoulders of the Impulse. These cannons are used to fire a large number of AGM141 "Firefly" guided missiles.Although designed for ranged combat, the Blast Silhouette pack contains two MA-M80 "Defiant" beam javelins, a variant of the classic beam sabers. These javelins can be used for close combat.
    • ZGMF-X56S/δ Chaos Impulse [GSA] - Uses Silhouette and specialized Leg Flyer to duplicate the abilities of the ZGMF-X24S Chaos.
    • ZGMF-X56S/ε Abyss Impulse [GSA] - Uses Silhouette and specialized Leg Flyer to duplicate the abilities of the ZGMF-X31S Abyss.
    • ZGMF-X56S/ζ Gaia Impulse [GSA] - Uses Silhouette and specialized Leg Flyer to duplicate the abilities of the ZGMF-X88S Gaia.
    • ZGMF-X56S/η ? Impulse - No information available, could possibly duplicate the abilities of the ZGMF-X23S Saviour.
    • ZGMF-X56S/θ Destiny Impulse [GSV]- Analogous to the Strike IWSP; equipped with backpack "wings" of ZGMF-X42S Destiny and used to test that unit's new systems.Besides using the base armament of the ZGMF-X56S Impulse, the Destiny Impulse is equipped with the θ Destiny Silhouette, granting it access to a wide variety of additional armaments. This includes two MMI-710 "Excalibur" anti-ship swords, the same types used on the Sword Silhouette, two high-energy long-range beam cannons, two RQM-60F "Flash Edge 2" beam boomerangs, which double as beam sabers and lastly two MX2351 "Solidus Fulgur" beam shield generators, which are mounted on the forearms of the suit. While the Destiny Silhouette effectively duplicates the functions of all three original Silhouettes, its very high power consumption makes it poorly suited for combat use on a battery-powered mobile suit.
  • ZGMF-X666S Legend [GSD] - The successor to the ZGMF-X13A Providence, equipped with a nuclear reactor and an improved version of the DRAGOON system. Piloted by Rey Za Burrel. Later heavily damaged by the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom and was in the Messiah when the fortress was destroyed.
  • ZGMF-YX21R (RGX-04) Proto Saviour [GSDA] - Prototype mobile suit from which the later ZGMF-X23S Saviour was derived. Unlike its successor, the Proto Saviour was developed and built on Earth. It is identical to the Saviour in armaments and capabilities, except that it is also equipped with a Mirage Colloid Virus Spreader. Piloted by Ile De Llorar
    • ZGMF-YX21R Proto-Saviour+11 (Plus Eleven) [GSDA] - A version of the Proto-Saviour that is equipped with an add-on from the ZGMF-X11A Regenerate.
A plastic model of the ZGMF-X13A Providence.
  • ZGMF-X13A Providence [GS] - Equipped with the DRAGOON system for controlling remote weapon pods. Piloted by Rau Le Creuset, critically damaged by Freedom and then destroyed by GENESIS.
  • ZGMF-X3000Q Providence ZAKU [GSDV] - Next generation model ZAKU designed to test weapons and technology used in the ZGMF-X666S Legend.
  • ZGMF-X11A Regenerate [GSA] - Third model in the series, after Freedom and Justice, also equipped with the N-Jammer Canceller. Massive and heavily armed, it is not compatible with the METEOR System. It can also transform into a Mobile Armor mode similar to the Aegis Gundam, with similar arnaments of 4 Beam Swords and a 1 Hyper Impulse Cannon; however, its size is a massive 35 meters tall, unmatched by anything else in the first Bloody Valentine War and not matched until the Earth Alliance's GFAS-X1 Destroy Gundam in C.E. 73. It has the unique capability to eject damaged parts and receive replacements from its backpack. Its backpack main body has the ability to invade and take control of other MS's system by plugging through MS APU socket, found on the back of the MS.
  • ZGMF-X23S Saviour [GSD] - Can transform into a mobile armor for aerial combat with extra speed and mobility. Appears to be derived from the GAT-X303 Aegis. Piloted by Athrun Zala while in ZAFT's elite division, FAITH. Destroyed by ZGMF-X10A Freedom in the Battle of Crete.
  • ZGMF-X12A (RGX-00) Testament [GSA] - First mobile suit to use Variable Phase Shift armor. Also able to use Earth Alliance's Striker Packs. Was never fielded by ZAFT and instead stolen by the Earth Alliance, who modified it and equipped it with a Mirage Colloid Virus Spreader, that gives it several unique battle abilities.

Orb Union

Orb mobile suits have the following designations and meanings:

  • ORB (Orb Union)
  • MBF (Main Battle Figure)
  • MVF (Main Variable Figure)

  • ORB-01 Akatsuki [GSD] - Mobile suit commissioned by Cagalli's father, Uzumi Nara Athha for her before his death. It is the only Mobile Suit produced with the ORB designation. Similar to the MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki as it also sports a unique, bright gold color scheme which generally relates to the definition of Akatsuki in English, meaning "dawn." Also similar to the Hyaku Shiki is its profound ability to reflect or neutralize beam weapons on account of the "Yata-no-Kagami" which is coated on its armour. Given to Mu La Flaga just before the Battle of the Messiah. Mu uses it in an attempt to block a positron cannon blast from the Minerva, similar to what he did in the previous war. With the Akatsuki, he succeeded in deflecting the attack. In model kit packaging, the Akatsuki is labeled as the "Akatsuki Gundam."
  • MBF-P04 Astray Green Frame [GSFA] - The fourth of the 5 Prototype Astray Units. Except its colour scheme, the Gundam Astray Green Frame originally featured the same weaponry as the other three Orb Union prototype mobile suits, the two head mounted "Igelstellung" 75mm multi-barrel CIWS and two beam sabers. Besides these weapons the Green Frame is also equipped with a Twin sword rifle, a weapon that can function as both a beam rifle and an axe-like double-edged beam sword. The Green Frame also uses a different model of sensor units that makes its eyes yellow instead of green like the other Gundam Astrays. The Green Frame also has an advance AI to assist its pilot. It's pilot is Trojan Noiret.

Production units

  • MVF-M11C Murasame [GSD] - Mass-production mobile suit, capable of transforming into a fighter jet-like flight mode. Armed with a beam rifle and beam saber, plus a beam gun, missiles and four machine guns in flight mode. Murasames have been piloted by Andrew Waltfeld and Ledonir Kisaka.

Librarian mobile suits have the following designations and meanings:

  • LG (Librarian Gale)
  • LH (Librarian Hail)
  • LN (Librarian Nix/Librarian Nebula)
  • LR (Librarian Regen)
  • LV (Librarian Vent)
  • LM (Librarian Mirage)

The Librarian Mobile units were based on the original units created by both the Earth Forces and ZAFT. Because they possess data even beyond military levels, they have several MS which have been improved beyond imagining.

  • LG-GAT-X105 Gale Strike [GSVSA] - A mysterious Mobile unit developed by the mysterious organization known as Librarian. Based on the GAT-X105 Strike and focused on close combat, the Gale Strike design to approach enemies fast using hit-and run tactics. The backpack is based on the Aile Striker with propulsion system moved to each shoulder which greatly improves the mobility of Gale Striker, allowing it to brake or move from side to side in mid-air. In addition to the standard armaments of the original Aile Strike, Gale Strike is also armed with a pair of large anti-ship swords which are also used as support wings to assist in aerial maneuvers. While it visually similar to Strike Gundam, Gale Strike actually has strengthed frame and joints to withstand increase force from air mobility. While it's unknown if Gale Strike still compatible with Earth Alliance's striker pack, its backpack is interchangeable with other Librarian's mobile suit. It was piloted by a masked man named ND-HE (No Data High Error).
  • LH-GAT-X103 Hail Buster [GSVSA] - Developed by the mysterious organization known as Librarian, the Hail Buster is a long-range use Mobile unit that mysteriously closely resemble the GAT-X103 Buster, but also has anti-ship vulcan mount on each missile pod's cover plate. The sensor and fire-control system is greatly improved, allow Hail Buster to rapidly fire its weapons on several targets at once. Taken idea from Striker Pack, the gun launcher and energy gun are mounted on backpack which is interchangeable with other Librarian's mobile suit. Furthermore, the Mirage Colloid stealth system is integrate to Hail Buster. This allow it to sneak upon enemies and bombard them without being noticed. Its pilot is Finis Socius.
  • LN-ZGMF-X13A Nix Providence [GSVSA] - The Nix Providence is a DRAGOON-Use Mobile Unit of the Librarian, based on ZGMF-X13A Providence. Similar to other custom mobile suits utilise by Librarian, Nix Providence is compatible with Striker Pack. The overall function of Nix Providence remain close to that of Providence, with layout of DRAGOON system change to allow the usage of Striker Pack. The first disc-shape DRAGOON platform, mounting a large DRAGOON and pair of smaller ones, is on right shoulder. On the left shoulder mounting four more smaller DRAGOON, as well as holding the composite shiled similar to Providence. The last set, consist of two large DRAGOON and two smaller, are around Nix Providence's waist. The large DRAGOONs can be aim and shoot without deploy. Finally, the DRAGOON Striker mounting a Judicium beam rifle which can be use without hand-hold. And as the name implied, this high mobility backpack can be ejected and function like DRAGOON. The pilot is Prayer Reverie.
  • LR-GAT-X102 Regen Duel [GSVSA] - A multi-combat use Mobile Suit, The Regen Duel is developed by the Librarian from the battle data of the GAT-X102 Duel. Similar to other custom mobile suit utilize by Librarian, Regen Duel is compatible with Striker Pack. It's usually armed with Bazooka Striker, mounting Gae Bolg 350 mm rail bazooka - an improved model of Duel Gundam's hyper bazooka. Regen Duel also armed with similar weapons to Duel Gundam with addition of Rudra 115 mm rail rifle, a hand-hold version of Shiva rail-gun. In theory, Regen Duel should enter combat by destroy large target like battleship from long range with rail weapons, then discard both and engage enemy mobile suits without burden weight which is the flaw of Assault Shroud armor. Its pilot is Kaite Madigan.
  • LN-GAT-X207 Nebula Blitz [GSVSA] - Librarian's Close Combat Stealth unit based on both the GAT-X207 Blitz and MBF-P01-Re2<AMATU> Astray Gold Frame Amatu Mina Custom,. Similar to other custom mobile suits developed by Librarian, Nebula Blitz is compatible with Striker Pack. The Nebula Blitz is refitted with similar weapons system to Astray Gold Frame Amatu Mina Custom, with the energy absorption claws and harpoons mounting on Maga no Ikutachi Striker. A set of spare lancer darts can be mount on right waist and the Tsumuha no Tachi claws can be mount on left waist. Nebula Blitz's head is slighly redesigned and features improved sensors and heat exhaustion. The Mirage Colloid stealth system is greatly improved, capable of performing a trick known as Mirage Colloid Teleport which can be used only by lily. The true nature of this maneuver is still unexplained at the moment. The red color scheme is a reference to Goud Vair's symbolic color. It's pilot is Lily Thevalley.
  • LV-ZGMF-X23S Vent Savior [GSVSA] - One of two transformable Mobile units used by the Librarian, the Vent Savior is the improved version of the ZGMF-X23S Savior. Vent Saviour is consider to be a rare model for Librarian, being the only mobile suit based on ZAFT's second stage series which even the Librarian found it hard to acquire data. However, development of Vent Saviour is possible since Librarian manages to access the schematics of its prototype, the ZGMF-YX21R Proto-Saviour. The small wings, originally on Amfortas beam cannons, were moved to Vent Saviour's shoulders. This provide Vent Saviour with better mobility when compared to the original Saviour Gundam. Like all other Librarian mobile suits, Vent Saviour is compatible with Librarian's Striker Packs but doesn't has one as standard armaments due to the transformation. As the name suggests, Vent means Wind in French. It's pilot is Goud Vair of the Librarian. Later on, it was captured and used by Elijah Kiel of the Serpent Tail after Goud was defeated by his old friend.
  • MBF-P05LM Astray Mirage Frame/2nd issue [GSVSA] - The fifth and last of the 5 Prototype Astray Units. For a long time, the existence of the last mecha was uncertain but it was recovered by the Librarian and given several alterations. Unlike the other four Orb Union prototype mobile suits, the Gundam Astray Mirage Frame featured a most different outlook and a similar weaponry to the Red Frame, the two head mounted "Igelstellung" 75mm multi-barrel CIWS, two beam sabers, a beam rifle, and a katana "Amenohabakili" with its appearance just as same as the "Gerbera Straight" katana. However, the Amenohabakiri also has VPS applied to it. Beside these weapons the Mirage Frame is also equipped with a pair of physical blades "Bracelet Sword" on its forearms and a pair of folding triple claws "Anklet Sword" on its heels. The main feature of the Mirage Frame is the Mirage Colloid cloaking system. Unlike other mobile suits with this technology, Mirage Frame is capable of use the cloak system to alter its apepearance. Initially, Gina use this ability to disguise the Mirage Frame as Gold Frame. It's also capable of transforming. While it usually appears in Commander mode, Mirage Frame will switch to Gladiator Mode by turning its arms, feet and head which reveals a pair of extra sensors in the rear side. The colouring also changed from violet to black. The Anklet Blades and Bracelet Blades will also fold-out. Unlike the other 6 units in the librarian's fleet, this model don't have a striker pack hardpoint and hence is unable to mount the librarian's custom striker packs. It's upgrade, the Astray Mirage Frame 2nd issue has a improved transformation mode somehow similar to the Gaia, although it's weaponry is not yet explained. It was given to a Carbon Human clone of the pilot Rondo Ghina Sahaku.
