Adel first came to attention when she entered the second series of Star Academy in 2005,[3] coming third to Hisham Abdulrahman and Amani Swissi after reaching the semi-final.[4] She signed with Rotana in 2007.[1][5] Her debut album Wahda Tayiba (One Good)[6] was the number one Rotana album, with 8 songs including Hob Mosh Mahsoub Alayah (Unaccounted Love) and Wahda Tanya (Another Chick). Adel won ART's Best New Artist and Zahrat Al Kaleej's Best Album of 2007. She studied at the Institute of Arabic Music.[7]

Adel's second album, released in 2009, is Waed Alia (Promised High), featuring 10 songs.[2][8]
